Ooh La la Cavallini Banner

The sheet of Cavallini paper for my July Mystic Paper kit looked so pretty hanging on the wall in my bedroom I decided to create a home dec piece with it.  Sheri and Jenna will post their projects soon, so be sure to drop by their blogs too.  :0)

The mini vintage posters on my paper were perfect for a banner, but I put a twist on a traditional banner by making it 4 connected tiers.
 A wide shot:

Closer up:

I added lots of ink and glimmer and stickles and a little bit of paper to make the already beautiful paper really pop!

Look at these cool gold tags from Mystic.  I hung mine on some seam binding and a Tim Holtz saftey pin (hidden here) and paired it with a tag I made from a scrap of the Cavallini paper.  Isn't she cute?

Seam binding streamers give the project some soft texture, and hold it all together.  {{Big sigh}}  I am in love with this banner.  It was hard to send it away with my husband this morning.  He is dropping it off at Mystic Paper today for everyone to enjoy, okay, okay I'll share the love. . . but did you notice I put my name on it.  Hee hee, I just realized that.

The view from my pillow:

Thanks for stopping by to see my pretties.  I just love to share and hear what y'all think too.  Happy Tuesday!

In the far off view, you can tell which side of the bed is mine. :) The one with the books and the pink pillowcase. And Jason's side has a hat hanging on the wall. haha

That is so creative Holly! I love it! Think of all of the fabulous ways you could make one of these, and all the themes and even for a child's bedroom. Thank you for sharing and hope you are having a wonderful day! xoxo Rhonda...
