Somewhere over the...

Double Rainbow. Way up high... (in Payson).

Odd that for as long as I can remember, it rains on my birthday. Does that make me sad, well, heck no! It feels like a right of passage or something for this Arizona girl. Like a refreshing little God wink. When the rain reminds me, I always have to tell the story of a slumber party in Holbrook when it rained like crazy. Me and my tween friends ran through the wet neighborhood streets collecting 74 frogs and 1 salamander even in a 5 gallon bucket. That musta been before the days of "Ewwww! Yuck!!!" :) Anyhow, it rained while I was partying and scrapbooking away in Payson for my 29th birthday this year.

I caught these pics of a stunning FULL double rainbow while we were eating at Macky's. 'Nuther God wink from up above. (By the way God Winks by SQuire Rushnell is an excellent read. Can you tell it has really stuck with me?) Love and hugs y'all.

Swapped This

This is the "Patriotic, Americana" themed album I created for the swap I did with my scrapbooking group. How fun to step out of my same ol' same ol'! She wrote me the sweetest thank you email and I am so glad she liked it. I'll post pics of the one I got from her soon.

First slide show ever, thank you very much! Super duper easy... :)

Perpetually Yours!

I loved picking out the "jewely" tones for this cool perpetual calendar I am teaching at Crafty Papers on September 5th from 1pm-4pm. I got the idea from my friend Alex who gave me blessing to teach it there. The months and the # days are velcro, so you can move them around. I put mine on a clipboard, but you can go bigger too. Think cookie sheet size. :)

Speaking of calendars, my baby girl turns 1 tomorrow. Crazy, it seems like the other day she finally came to us. I was 8 days overdue and had been to the hospital twice. Now she is walking and saying mama and laughing and playing with her big sister. Amazing tiny little person she is!

Made with Love

I got home from Payson this weekend and was enveloped with air saturated by the yummy, chocolatey goodness of Devil's Food baking. Aaaaaah, sweet bliss! To my sheer and utter surprise, Jason made me a cake (for the very first time ever). Now, I am an easy girl to please, and so this was very special to me. Had to share!

He even frosted and decorated it himself too! Boy was it delicious with a side of Bluebell Homemade Vanilla ice cream. :) You must make a point to try that ice cream sometime.
